A Love Affair...

No, it is not with another person... it is with something else.

I had a half-day seminar to attend in the city yesterday, and it was a memory that had been long forgotten revived, albeit very short and who knows when I would ever revisit that again.

The job I am in now, working in a suburban office, was the first job I had that wasn't located in the city. And I can't tell you, yesterday, how much I have missed being able to strut along the main part of the mall, queueing to get my favourite Starbucks' coffee, and sitting down to watch the world pass by, writing contentedly with the iTouch plugged in my ear belting out my favourite tunes.

I know, I know, it's not like I don't visit the city from time to time on the weekend; I do. But the weekend crowd has a different feel to it than the weekday crowd; more sluggish, more leisurely, happy to take their time. And from time to time, I do miss that 'charging', vibrant, bustling feeling only weekday crowd could create.

Ahhh... the city.... how I missed thee....
