Two Steps Forward, One Step Back...

This is the state of my writing for the past... oh I don't know... two weeks or so.

I have these remnants of passages I would like to write for Evelyn's story. It is the pivotal, most significant passage in the story, detailing an incident which would make Evelyn hit rock bottom, and how she very slowly picked herself up and trudged that unconquerable hill until she found herself again.

Most of the times, I could simply pick a pen and paper, duck my head down, and the whole section would just... pour out of my brain and into said paper. I did, for a while, but the more I sat on it, the more I was convinced that what I had written was actually the middle of the passage instead of the beginning; and what I had written was just that; big chunks of sections rather than a fluid, fluent start-to-finish sections.

So with A LOT of regrets, I had had to tore off the pages I had scribbled on, and started again from scratch. This wasn't exactly a new thing for me - I have torn off pages before. Never though, in the whole four and a bit years I've written, had I had to rip 5 whole pages and start again from the very beginning.

I have started re-writing the sections, and touch wood, so far, I am very happy with the way it is turning out. It has more meat, the settings are more real. And with luck, I will keep at this without having to slip down a few levels again!
